I built and launched an AI-powered alt text generator that scaled accessibility support across Contentful and WordPress workflows for multiple marketing teams. Built with Next.js, AWS, Python, and OpenAI, the tool generates high-quality, brand-aware alt text directly within existing content workflows, reducing manual effort while improving consistency, accessibility, and SEO. The app was adopted across several internal teams and evolved into reusable tooling that could also be made available beyond its initial implementation.

The Challenge
Alt text was often missing, inconsistent, or manually written in ways that slowed content production and created accessibility gaps across marketing platforms. Existing approaches did not reliably capture Workhuman's brand voice, product context, or the nuances of different image types, making it difficult to scale quality standards across teams and workflows.
The Solution
I designed and implemented an AI alt text generator tailored to Workhuman's brand, content standards, and product imagery, enabling teams to create more accurate and accessible descriptions with minimal friction. To support different workflows, I delivered the solution through multiple integration paths, including embedded CMS experiences, a standalone interface, and API-based connectivity. This made the tool flexible enough to support several teams while improving adoption, consistency, and ease of use across platforms.
